Fair Usage Policy

1. Service Purpose

Snapeen is built exclusively for event-based photo and video sharing. It is not a general cloud-storage, backup, or file-hosting platform — please do not use it as a replacement for Dropbox, Google Drive, or similar services. This also applies to the Snapeen Memories subscription: it keeps your event photos stored long-term, but it is still an event-memories service, not a personal backup drive. Content unrelated to your events, or usage patterns that resemble bulk file storage, may be removed.

2. Your Responsibility for Content

You are solely responsible for ensuring all uploaded photos and videos are legal, appropriate, and respectful of everyone's rights and privacy — including the rights of people who appear in them. Content must not infringe copyrights, trademarks, or personal rights, and hosts should let their guests know that event photos may be shared in a common gallery. 3. Plan Limits and Usage Caps

Each plan has its own limits on photos, videos, and upload windows, shown on our pricing page. In addition, the following platform-wide caps apply to keep performance optimal for everyone:

• A maximum of 10,000 photos and videos per individual event (this is the technical ceiling for "unlimited" plans)
• A maximum of 5,000 participants per individual event
• Uploads are accepted only during your event's upload window (from the moment you create your event until the end of your plan's upload period)
• Events that accumulate unusually large amounts of media long before their event date may receive a fair-usage notice and be reviewed — galleries are for event memories, not general file storage
• Storage duration depends on your plan: Free events keep their gallery for 30 days after the event date, One-Time and Premium events for 12 months after the event date — always measured from your event date. After this period, photos are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered (an active Snapeen Memories subscription extends storage — see our Terms of Service)

4. Prohibited Usage Patterns

To protect the platform for everyone, the following are not allowed:

• Using events as general file storage or backup (uploading non-event files, archives, or bulk media dumps)
• Automated or scripted mass uploads, scraping, or bulk downloading beyond the built-in download features
• Reselling access to Snapeen or embedding it in a commercial offering without a written agreement with us
• Creating multiple free events or accounts to circumvent plan limits or storage periods
• Any activity that places excessive load on our infrastructure or degrades the service for other users

5. Automatic Content Deletion

All event photos and media are permanently deleted at the end of your plan's storage period (30 days after your event on Free, 12 months after your event on paid plans, unless you have an active Snapeen Memories subscription). This is an automatic process and applies to all events regardless of activity.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify event creators by email before deletion, but delivery is not guaranteed and a missed notification does not extend the storage period. Please download your photos well in advance — once deleted, content cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.

6. Policy Enforcement

We reserve the right to moderate, remove, or restrict access to any content, event, or account that breaches this policy or our Terms of Service, and to throttle or suspend usage that threatens platform stability. Action may be taken immediately and without advance warning where necessary to protect our users or the service. Where practical, we will contact you first and work with you to resolve the issue.
